Re: New Part - Lucas C42 Generator

G'day Ed,

Thanks for the kind words, always nice to know the little things are noticed! They are the things that take a part to the next level in my mind. Definitely agree about the seam lines though.

Interesting thing about the lettering and arrows etc, when I design those in I have to make them ...

New Part - Lucas C42 Generator

Another little part I've completed in recent weeks.

The much needed Electrical Generator - Lucas C42 type.

This little kit comes with the end plates. fan, pulley mounting bracket and upper adjusting bracket, and the internal commutator.

I could have completed this part without the commutator as ...

Reference Images of Alfa Monza

G'day All,

Thought I'd put up a notification of some beautiful photographs of a couple of Alfa Romeo Monza's. These are the real cars and will be very useful to anyone building these series of Alfas.

They are on the Leadfoot Models website under the Reference Images section - link below.

Re: Ed's Jaguar - Completed

G'day Ed,

Great pics and run down of the build. It's really nice to see my parts on a completed model, and those spoked wheels are my little pride-and-joy and look like they came out very nicely (if I do way so myself!), and of course big thumbs up to the installer and painter!! :D

The colour ...

Re: Yes it has been quiet here!

Yep.. I played a game of tag and lost that round!!! Am starting to feel a lot better and energetic. Would have been a bit better a bit sooner but as the snake was wrongly identified initially (my fault, and it was on dusk, and I didn't even think it was a snake anyway), then the treatment slightly ...

Re: Hello there...

G'day Nick,

A big welcome to our small but slowly growing group. The forum is quite new, but as you've probably seen there is some great work here.

Knowing some of the projects you're working on I am sure they would also be of interest to the group, and I know I can speak for us all that we look ...

Completed Builds - A couple of guidelines

Thought I would put a little post here as I know some builds of the Jag are coming to a completion (Ed reminded me to set this up as well!), but in addition to full builds being placed here, I am also happy for completed sub-assemblies where suitable (eg: assemblies that could be displayed on their ...

Wow mate, that's coming up great. So nice to see the fan in there. Still a real head-scratcher why they left that off. :D Really liking the details!!

Re: Transparent UV resin: Your feedback.

G'day Gilles & Ed,

Interesting topic as resins seem to be a love 'em or hate 'em type of process.

It does take a fair amount of practice to get perfect results most of the time, but so many factors can ruin what you think will be perfect.

That said, to address the UV resins specifically, I too ...
